From a web address

What comes along, and what does not

Does not come along

  • A database, an API or a login: that is an application, not a site
  • A site built by JavaScript comes in empty via an address. Come in via GitHub instead, then the source comes along.
  • The password of your other platform. We never ask for that.

We never ask for the password of another platform

A login screen like that would capture your password, it breaks the moment you switch on two-factor authentication, and it makes us liable for an account that is not ours. With GitHub, GitHub asks you for permission itself, you see exactly what for, and you can withdraw it there at any time.
